Creator Monthly
December 2017
The anticipation is building. Which breakout moments will be featured in this year’s Rewind? Only a few hours ‘til we find out! And while we're waiting, we've got a few updates of our own, including an important message from our CEO.
Protecting our community
A message from Susan, CEO of YouTube:
“Every year, I'm reminded of how unique and special our YouTube community is and 2017 is no different. This was a year of amazing growth and innovation, but I wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on what has also been a very tough year for our creator community. In the past months, we saw a significant increase in bad actors seeking to exploit our platform. In light of this, we’ve just announced new actions to protect our community from inappropriate content. We are planning to apply stricter criteria and manual curation, while also significantly ramping up our team of human reviewers to help creators thrive.”
YouTube Studio Beta is growing
Thanks to thousands of creators who tested the new YouTube Studio Beta desktop experience, we’ve been able to make it easier to manage videos. Now we’re opening access to everyone, and we’ll continue to add new features based on your feedback.
